Here is a marketing strategy you can do to attract targeted website traffic to visit any of your websites, whatever your niche.  There are many things you are able to do to get visitors tp your website.  There isn’t one “correct” method,  rather there are various strategies and you should learn how to use these many strategies in your marketing and promotions. You need to look at your options and develop the website marketing strategy that performs best for you.

One website marketing strategy that works is to write articles and submit them to the top article directories.  The benefit of this approach is that you’ll be able to do this with absolutely zero cost to start with.  If writing articles is not your thing, then article marketing can still be cheaper than many other forms of advertising, even if you have someone else write them for you.

Write 25 articles (or have them written for you) based around your subject.  Create an account at EzineArticles.com and submit 10 of the articles, you can only submit 10 articles when you have a basic account.  Once those articles are approved, you will be upgraded and can submit further articles.  Go over to HubPages.com and create a Hub with 2 articles. Then, go over to Squidoo.com and create a site there, they are called lenses there and put 2 of your articles on the lens..

After two days add another article to your Squidoo lens and your Hubpages, add further articles over a period of a week until each one has a total of at least 5 articles. Remember to bookmark your articles, you can do this at Socialmarker.com, you can also submit your RSS feeds at RSSFeeds.com.

The final 5 articles you should submit to multiple directories.  You can  do this is through iSnare.com which, for a few Dollars each, will submit your articles to hundreds of directories.  Or you can use use an article submitter software which you can easily find by going to Google and doing a search.

There are numerous ways to get targeted website traffic, this is just one of the methods I use.  There are a variety of systems, you need to develop your website marketing strategy to effectively get Targeted Website Traffic to your web pages.

How To Make Your Solo Ads Work

Sometimes generating traffic through advertising can be quite expensive. Though it is true that in the Internet, there are a lot of marketing channels you can make use of for free, often, you will be competing with countless other ads in these venues. This could result in difficulties in relation to having your business message stand out amongst all the others.

Hence, quite a number of Internet marketers have tried paid options. One of these is paid solo ads in electronic magazines, or eZines. It is a widely held belief that having a certain space in a popularly distributed eZine can be a very effective way of sending out your business message to others. Let’s analyze it further.

The Power Of Ezines

People subscribe to eZines because they want to keep abreast of the information that is shared by the publication. Basically, they decide to receive the eZine issues. This points to a desire on their part to be able to read about the subject catered to by that eZine. This is why an eZine’s subscriber base is usually called an opt-in list, because users opted to subscribe to the service.

How can this benefit you?

Well, since eZines have a dedicated base of subscribers, you’re sure to tap into a highly targeted market. Often, the failure of most marketing strategies is that they target a general market. The people who would receive their business message may not necessarily have the minutest interest on their products.

With eZines, you’re sure to have a subscriber base that would be perfect targets for your marketing campaign? And why not? They, after all, are subscribed to the eZine because they are involved with its subject. There is no reason why they won’t show the same fascination your what you will advertise.

Choosing The Right Ezine For Your Solo Ad

There is one rule in selecting the right eZine for your solo ad: it’s not the number of subscribers that matter, it’s how responsive they will be. You may find more success with an eZine that has a circulation of 5,000 readers rather than one with 100,000 subscribers. Ezines with a smaller subscriber base usually mean a more focused audience. These are subscribers who opted for the service because they really want to, not because they were swayed by a sweeping promotional campaign that would reward them with a freebie in exchange for their
subscription.

To know whether a particular eZine is responsive enough or your needs, ask the editor the following questions:

  • What is the average number of subscribers that decide to make a purchases per offer, vis a vis the total number of subscribers the eZine has?
  • What is the conversion rate exhibited in the mailing list, per offer?
  • How many repeat advertisements has the editor gathered in the past months?

Writing Your Solo Ad

Once you have chosen the eZine that you know would serve you well, it’s time to write your solo ad. Keep in mind the guidelines below in composing your promotional piece.

  • Decide on a format. Should it be a straight advertisement or an article that would promote your business? I would recommend the latter.
  • Craft an attention getting headline. The headline is your chance to capture the interests of your readers. This should be enticing enough to compel them to read the entirety of your article.
  • Your ad is not a sales page. It would serve you well to treat your ad as a means of capturing leads for future offers instead of directly selling your readers a particular product. People would want to read an informative piece, and they generally dislike being told what to do. Suggest your business if they have relevant needs in the future, instead.
  • Make your ad concise. It doesn’t have to be long. The longer your ad, the harder it will be to sustain your readers’ attention. Go straight to the point.
  • Enumerate the benefits. This should be the main focus of your ad. What’s in it for them? Why should they select your business? Why should they spend their hard earned cash for what you are offering, and what you will offer in the future?
  • Impress upon them a sense of urgency. This would be what is often known as a call to action. Tell them why they should act as quickly as they could. For this purpose, you could afford them a discount or free bonuses if they should decide to buy your goods within a stated period of time.

These guidelines will help ensure that any solo ad you invest in will be value for the money you will spend.

How To Make Traffic Exchanges Work For You

Many marketers shy away from Traffic Exchanges, but it is an often an under used traffic generation technique that can bring floods of traffic to your webpage.

Simply Traffic Exchanges are  websites that let Internet marketers earn credits by viewing the websites of other members on the traffic exchange. The more pages you view, the more credits you earn, and the more often your page will appear in rotation on the Traffic Exchange.

There are dozens of people for who Traffic Exchanges don’t work, with the amount of members in most exchanges it ought to be very successful. The error that most people make when using a traffic exchange is that they try to sell products and services, but seldom are they successful since members are there surfing for credits to show their own pages.

What you need to be doing is showing your squeeze page for your valuable free offer, this then produces a significant change in the members mentality as it barely interupts their own goals of surfing for credits. If your free offer is perceived to be sufficiently valuable enough, you will have targeted visitors signing up for your list.

With so many members, traffic exchanges can provide you with 700 to 800 visitors viewing your page each and every week for around 25 minutes of your time surfing daily.

When you convince other people to sign up for the same traffic exchange through your link, you will receive additional bonus credits for your squeeze page, either as a one off amount of credits or based on the amount of pages they view when they use the traffic exchange you introduced them to.

Clearly, with some work and a well targeted free offer, you can easily develop a powerful stream of targeted visitors who will sign up to your list.

Join some of the leading traffic exchanges, they are free to join and add another traffic source for you to build your list. Here are a couple to get you started:

Bootscootin Traffic
Traffic Witch
Traffic Splash
Gladiator Hits

For the top Traffic Exchanges go to Affiliate Funnel. They publish a list every week of the top exchanges over the previous week.

What Are Traffic Exchanges?

Simply Traffic Exchanges are  websites that let Internet marketers earn credits by looking at the websites of other members on the traffic exchange. The more pages you view, the more credits you earn, and the more often your page will appear in rotation of the Traffic Exchange.

There are two types of Traffic Exchange that you will find on the internet, manual and auto surf traffic exchange sites. The manual sites require you to literally click a button to go to the next site, while the auto surf ones scroll through the sites automatically. If you’ve got repetitive strain injuries, the second is definitely the way to go!

Why traffic exchanges are good

Traffic exchanges can attract more eye balls to your website and more clicks on your site, which can help improve your ranking in the search engines. The more people who are visiting your site, the more the search engines will view your site as popular, and up the rankings your site will go.

This means when people are searching for your keyword terms, they’ll be more likely to find your website if you’ve been able to rise towards the top of the search engine listings. Naturally getting clicks through a link exchange is no substitute for having a website that is well written and high quality, that is optimized for those keyword terms properly.

Attracting other members into traffic exchanges will also earn you a small percentage of these members surfing credits. If you get enough members signing up under you, you can replace your surfing credits with those earnt through your downline. You will also receive a one off credit amount for each member who signs up under you.

Why traffic exchanges are bad

The main problem with the free traffic exchanges is that you have to spend time clicking on other people’s pages to view them in order to earn credits that get people to view your page. This can be time consuming—and not a lot of fun—if the sites aren’t things you are interested in. The way you feel when you have to take time out of your day to click on pages in the traffic exchange is probably the way that the majority of the other people there feel—they’re just trying to get clicks to their own site.

Most people in all probability won’t spend a lot of time on your site, and you won’t make many sales from traffic exchanges.

Why bother with Trffic Exchanges?

You may well be wondering why anyone would bother with traffic exchanges. They seem like a lot of time for little return, time that could be better used in developing new products or writing e-mails to build your relationship with your current customers.

The time involved in viewing other pages and clicking on links is the biggest downside of traffic exchanges.  But the amount of traffic you get in exchange for your time can be significant, and there are a sure to be some of those visitors that will be interested in what you have to offer. If you don’t want to surf you can usually purchase credits quite cheaply.

Ultimately, you have to determine if this is something you want to utilize, but there are definite positives, especially for the new Internet marketer who doesn’t have a big advertising budget but wants to draw traffic to his or her site.

Affiliate Funnel publishes a list of the top Traffic Exchanges each week along with their seminar every Saturday where you can get lots more tips.

Every day we are all looking to get more traffic to our websites, here are 10 high powered ways you can use to increase your traffic.

  • Trade links with other web sites. They should be related to the subject of your web site. Instead of trading links, you could also trade banner ads, half page ads, classified ads, etc.
  • Start an e-zine for your web site. When people read each issue they’ll be reminded to revisit your web site. They’ll see your product ad more than just once which will increase your orders.
  • Form an online community. It could be an online message board, e-mail discussion list or chat room. When people get involved in your community they will regularly return to communicate with others.
  • Write articles and submit them to e-zines, websites and magazines that accept article submissions. Include your business information and web address at the end of the article.
  • Give away an electronic freebie with your ad on it. Allow your visitors to also give the freebie away. This’ll increase your ad exposure and attract people to your web site at the same time.
  • Combine your products or services into one big package deal with other businesses offerings. You could share a web site and advertise the package deal; which means double the traffic.
  • Submit your freebie to the online directories that list your particular item or service for free. If you’re offering a free e-zine, submit it to all the free e-zine directories on the internet.
  • Participate on message boards. Post answers to other people’s questions, ask questions and post appropriate information. Include your signature file at the end of all your postings.
  • Exchange classified or sponsor ads with other free e-zine publishers. If there is a huge subscriber difference between e-zines, one can run more ads to make up for it.
  • Post your ad on free advertising areas on the internet. You can post it on free classified ad sites, free for all links sites, newsgroups that allow ads, free yellow page directories, etc.
