Optimised websites show up better in the search engines so make sure you that you have included your meta tags and they are set correctly on each page for your keyword and submit your site to the search engines.

Start a Blog

Blogging is one of the most effective methods for getting visitors to your website, you can use a free Blogger or wordpress blog. Blogger is owned by Google so the chances are that the spiders will visit and index your site within 48 hours. Submit your blog to directories. Write regular posts on your blog, put an opt-in form in a prominant position on the page. Write a product review on your blog. Add a ‘Bookmark this page’ link on your site.

Social Networks

The online Social marketing community has gained increasing popularity over the last couple of years, user generated content is one reason why these sites rank highly in the search engines. Set up your profile on MySpace and Facebook, these sites and you can have your ads showing in less than 24 hours without paying a red cent.

Build a hubpage

Write a couple of interesting articles and put them on a hubpage, tag your page to help in the rankings. Include anchor text to your own or an affiliate product you are promoting. Add further hubpages and articles to your hubpages.

Article submission

You need to use this method on a regular basis, by writing regular interesting articles it will provide you with quality targeted traffic. Write articles of 300 to 600 words and include your resource box to get traffic. You can submit articles to Ezine articles, to find others just search for Article directories in Google.

Traffic Exchanges

At Traffic Exchanges you view others members webpages and earn credits, then use the credits you accumulate to advertise your website and receive viewers to your own pages. When using TE’s you need to use them on a daily basis to get a steady stream of traffic to your web pages.
